In Search of the Ideal Coffee and Syrup Mix for Consumers and Professionals ☕️🌆

Project Aim: Unveiling the Perfect Coffee Combination 🎯🍹

MindMarket partnered with a leading syrup brand to conduct an extensive taste test study in Shoreditch, London. The objective was to determine which coffee and syrup combinations were most appealing to both consumers and professionals (baristas and bartenders). This insight would guide the client in refining their product offerings and marketing efforts to better meet market preferences.


Methodology: Central Location Taste Test 📍☕️

We recruited 250 respondents, comprising 200 consumers and 50 baristas & bartenders. Over the course of five full business days, each respondent participated in a 15-minute taste test session, sampling 5 different coffee and syrup mixes. The sessions were conducted by a dedicated team of 5 interviewers, ensuring a streamlined process and consistent data collection.


Challenges: Ensuring Punctuality and Participation 🕵️‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Managing the logistics of this large-scale taste test posed significant challenges, particularly in ensuring respondents arrived on time and in adequate numbers. Our team went above and beyond, even intercepting potential participants on the busy streets of Shoreditch to meet the required sample size. This proactive approach was crucial in maintaining a high show rate and achieving our recruitment goals.
